Plzeň : Západočeská univerzita v Plzni, 2024. ISSN 2571-2519. Č. 2 (2024), s. 72-79.This article explores the impact of modern technologies, particularly 3D printing, on architectural and industrial design. It analyses the shift from traditional production methods that emphasized the harmony between material and form to modern approaches that prioritize functionality and efficiency. It also focuses on new technologies in 3D printing, such as multi-material printing, metal printing and bioprinting, and their use in various design fields. The article highlights the advantages of 3D printing such as the ability to create complex shapes, speed of production and minimization of waste. It also presents specific examples of 3D printed products, including a chair made from recycled materials, furniture made from wood waste, and a 3D printed house. It concludes by highlighting the potential of 3D printing and new materials to revolutionize design and manufacturing.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccesstrojrozmerné tlačiarnethree-dimensional printers3D tlačiarne3D printersnové technológienew technologiesmoderný dizajnNew technologies and materials in 3D printing for modern designNové technológie a materiály v 3D tlači pre moderný dizajnArticle
