Trnava : Univerzita sv. Cyrila a Metoda v Trnave, 2024. ISSN 1339-5637. Vol. 11, no. 2 (2024), pp. 103-122.The territorial self-government environment creates opportunities for social work to intervene in citizens' individual, group, and community social problems, which benefits not only members of local communities but also the territorial self-government. The most effective means of social work intervention for the benefit of residents of territorial self-government is helping relationships. Therefore, we set the goal of our empirical research to identify factors that stimulate clients to solve their social problems within a helping relationship with a social worker in the conditions of a territorial self-government. In the theoretical part of the contribution, we deal with the application of social work in the conditions of territorial self-government in the Slovak Republic, as well as the helping alliance in social work.en© vydavateľinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessúzemná samosprávaúzemné samosprávyregional administrationregional governmentterritorial self-governmentmiestne komunitylocal communitiessociálna prácasocial worksociálne problémysocial problemsTerritorial self-government as an environment of social work using a helping relationship to solve the social problems of inhabitants of local communitiesArticle
