We outline the effect of digital technologies on the work of librarians in Slovak libraries, with insights on international cooperation, as well as the influence of new technologies on services provided by libraries in the field of education. The core of our contribution deals with the analysis and conceptualization of the theoretical framework, background and trends in non-formal learning. We list specific examples of practice in Slovak libraries.
