Abstrakt
This teaching practice manual has been designed to support you in your preparation to become a teacher of English. Teaching practice is an inseparable part of your teacher training programme, and being in the classroom as an observer and later as a teacher of your first lessons enables a range of experiences which can become vital in the process of your future profession.
This manual is your guide through teaching practice in the 1st and 2nd year of the MA pre-service teacher training programme at the Department of English and American Studies (Faculty of Arts, Matej Bel University, hereafter FF UMB). It complements the theory gained in the Didaktika 1, 2 and 3 courses and practical tasks from other ELT methodology seminars you have taken part in. The tasks in this module are designed to foster your ongoing development as an educator. By helping you track your progress and learn from your mistakes, they encourage self-reflection, critical thinking, and the ability to adapt to your learners' needs. The work you complete will also serve as part of your final assessment, which will be conducted by your teacher trainer at FF UMB.
