Abstrakt
In an era of unprecedented demographic transformation, our global society stands at a critical juncture in addressing the needs of ageing populations. Sustainable Ageing from Integrative and Multidisciplinary Future Perspectives emerges as a timely contribution to the discourse on one of the most significant societal changes of our time. Drawing on the lens of economics and management, alongside social work, public health, and gerontology, the monograph aims to: ● develop a comprehensive framework that integrates environmental sustainability with healthy ageing practices; ● identify synergies between sustainable development goals and healthy ageing initiatives; ● propose evidence-based recommendations for policymakers on supporting sustainable ageing in different cultural contexts; ● examine how technology can bridge the gap between the ageing population’s needs and environmental sustainability. The complexity of contemporary ageing demands a paradigm shift in how we conceptualise, research, and address the multifaceted challenges accompanying this demographic transition. Often constrained by disciplinary boundaries, traditional approaches can no longer adequately address the interconnected nature of ageingrelated issues. This volume presents a groundbreaking framework that integrates diverse perspectives and innovative solutions for sustainable ageing in a world experiencing significant social, health, and environmental threats.
