dc.description.abstractThe paper focuses on the historical book production of František Víťazoslav Sasinek within the context of the book market in the second half of the 19th century. It examines the genesis of his historical works, the mechanisms of their publication, distribution, and reader reception. Particular attention is paid to Sasinek’s collaboration with publishing institutions and booksellers, as well as the strategies he employed to promote his writings. The study also explores the media reception of his works within both the Slovak and broader Central European context.
