dc.description.abstractThis study examines the documentary film Naša Líza [Our Lisa] (2024) as a medium that reflects the concepts of shared history and an integrated Europe through the individual fate of a Slovak-French participant in the anti-fascist resistance. The theoretical framework is based on a conceptualization of Europe as a process of permanent cultural transformation, drawing on the notion of entangled history (histoire croisée) and approaches emphasizing transnational exchange and “Europeanization from below”. Within this perspective, anti-fascist resistance emerges as one of the fundamental pillars of the European value space. The destiny of Elisabeth Blaho, situated at the intersection of two countries and distinct memory traditions, represents a specific trajectory in which local experiences become part of a broader continental narrative. The film functions as an interpretive framework, interconnecting family accounts, local testimonies, archival materials, and research reconstructions into a coherent transnational whole. The analysis confirms that Naša Líza enables a view of Europe as a space of shared experiences, where particular biographies are transformed into carriers of collective historical meanings.
