Abstrakt
In our article “Moving, dramatic and creative didactic games in teaching Russian as a second language in a Slovak school,” we examine the use of language didactic games as an activating method in teaching Russian in primary schools in Slovakia. Games are used to improve communication skills, critical thinking, cooperation and other important skills. Playing is a completely natural activity for children, but it will also interest adults. In preschool and primary and secondary education, play is used as a normal daily activity for students and is integrated into the educational process. Especially when teaching foreign languages (Russian), games are used as an effective teaching method. However, its use has a wide range and acts as a suitable activating, revitalizing element even when teaching older students or adults. In our work we provide examples of specific didactic language games intended for use in Russian language lessons in elementary school. The developed didactic language games meet the requirements of modern foreign language teaching, and their main goal is to increase student motivation and make the learning process more effective.
