The work explores indications of reluctance to submit to tyranny in theliterature of the 1960s, focusing on the works of authors Dominik Tatarka, RudolfSloboda, and Ján Johanides. The study builds on the research of Joseph Caroll,who argues that readers can indirectly participate in egalitarian social dynamicsthrough literature. Theobjective of the work is to observe how the rebellion aga-inst the aesthetics of socialist realism is depicted in these works (whether expli-citly or implicitly), and to determine if the conclusions align with those of thementioned literary scholar.
