This paper examines the use of the vibe coding (vibe programming) approach in teaching computer science at the lower secondary school level. The study describes a case-based activity in which 7th–9th grade students used ChatGPT to create a web application that displays weather information for three cities. The results show that most students did not consider the task difficult and perceived the activity as beneficial. Vibe programming supported motivation and creativity, and shifted students from passively using AI to actively creating applications.
